چکیده
Abstract The current work investigated the efficacy of hybrid treatment process electrocoagulation and adsorption in removing hydroxyzine (HDZ) from polluted aqueous solutions. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize operating parameters based on sub-category central composite design (CCD). significance variables, interactions, quadratic effects through analysis variance (ANOVA). value determination coefficient ( R 2 ), Adjusted (Adj. ) predicted (Pred. were 0.9855, 0.9791, 0.9743, respectively; also, p-value P < 0.0001, F-value 65.91 obtained. obtained results revealed that removal efficiency 99.3% electrical energy consumption 0.438 kWh m ?3 achieved at optimum condition initial HDZ concentration 25.0 mg L ?1 , pH solution 8.0, density 12.0 mA cm ?2 reaction time 15.0 min, chitosan dosage 0.03 g . According Pareto analysis, concentration, pH, density, time’s contribution 22.61%, 38.99%, 19.36%, 9.43, respectively. Furthermore, contributions with 3.43% 6.19%, Thus, highest process. Overall, by EC AD a good efficiency; it can be potentially presented as promising for treating water.

In the present study, adsorption of Co(tsPc)-4 using γ-Alumina was investigated. γ-Alumina was prepared by gel combustion method. The XRD pattern revealed that the synthesized γ-Alumina is amorphous and SEM image showed its nanosize scale while BET surface area about 501 m2/g and pore size of 7 nm implies highly porous surface which is a characteristic property of a high-quality adsorbent. In t...

متن کاملModeling and Optimization of the Coagulation–Flocculation Process in Turbidity Removal from Aqueous Solutions Using Rice Starch
Natural coagulants have received much attention for turbidity removal, thanks to their environmental friendliness. The present study investigates potential application of rice starch for removal of turbidity from aqueous solutions. It considers the effects of four main factors, namely settling time (40-140 min), pH (2-8), slow stirring speed (20-60 rpm), and rice starch dosage (0-200 mg/L), eac...
